Don’t say “I understand”
You don’t understand

Even if you have or are
Going through what I
Have gone through, it
Isn’t the same.

Stop saying you “understand”
Because nothing is the same
For everyone!

I lost my father at
The age of 5.

I was taking from my
Birth family when I
Was 6.

Ages 6 and 7 I was
In 3 different places
For kids/teens that
Have behavior
Problems.

A month before my 8th
Birthday, I was placed
In foster care.

I was in 2 different
Foster homes for a
Year each.
My 3nd foster home
I was in for 4 years,
And I wasn’t treated
To good there.

I moved to the foster
Home I’m in now a
Week before 9th grade.

Right before my 15th
Birthday I cut ties with
My family.

So, stop saying
“I understand”,
Cause you don’t
And you never will.

I have gone through to
Much in my life for my
Age and I don’t need
Your “I understands”
